Hot Sex Scene From Desperado
When the movie Desperado
hit the Hollywood scene in 1995, it stunned audiences with its
sensuality. Two latin stars relatively unheard of in the US,
Salma Hayek and Antonio Banderas, set the big screen alight with their
performances.
The film was the second in the Mariachi trilogy by the up and coming director, Robert Rodriguez. This time it starred Banderas as El Mariachi. He was now seeking revenge on the drug lord who killed his lover.
The first film in the sequel has been shot in Spanish, but the English language production, along with its two stars, turned the film from a cult success to a major player. It may not have won any big awards, but Desperado's director and the film's two leading stars went on to be huge Hollywood names on the basis of this movie.
Desperado is an action thriller and an anti-hero western. There is a great deal of action before Salma Hayek appears on the scene. Banderas has already killed a large number of gunslingers single-handedly and is walking away from the scene when he meets Salma (Carolina in the movie).
Salma's look of horror warns Banderas that he
is being stalked by another gunslinger, and he hastily shoves Salma out
of the line of fire. Not quick enough, however, to avoid a
bullet penetrating his arm. Banderas collapses in the dust.
He awakens to find himself having his wound stitched by Salma, who later searches his guitar case to discover his guns and realises he is the gunslinger she has heard so much about.
Another action sequence follows which leaves Banderas bleeding badly again. He goes back to the bookstore and accuses Salma of working for a guy who has just tried to kill him.
Salma denies this and tends his wounds again and as Banderas is recovering, there follows the hot sex scene we all remember from the movie.
Amidst glowing candles in Salma's bedroom, Banderas and Hayek make love as if there is no one else on the set.
The relationship between the characters played by Salma Hayek and Antonio Banderas throughout the movie is taught and filled with passion. No other actress or actor could have given the film the touch of latin fire which made it such a success.
The film's ending is happy, with the two main characters driving off into the sunset, but you know the action isn't going to end as the credits roll.
